We draw from the beauty of nature found in Guatemala using seasonal flowers with an emphasis on tonal, nuanced and refined color palettes to tell your distinctive story. Founded in 2020 by Katie Berube, Abeja Flowers is a floral company in Antigua Guatemala that is dedicated to authentic love by elevating the beauty of flowers to bring people together. All our creative work empowers the local community of women by providing dignified, safe employment opportunities. What began as a small flower delivery business has now grown to specialize in destination weddings and events!
Abeja means “bee” in Spanish. Bees give life to flowers, and flowers give life back to bees. Our name reflects the heart and passion behind the work that we do. We believe flowers have the ability to share love and bring people together.
Our Team
Our team is made up of a powerhouse of creative, talented women. From planting specialty flowers in our garden, to designing beautiful bouquets, to foraging wildflowers out on the hills surrounding Antigua, we have an amazing group of women working with us who love what they do! It is important to us to translate love and intentionality through our designs, and every member of our team reflects this heart and passion.
Weddings
Abeja provides services customized to each client. It is important to us to reflect the love and personality of each couple through the floral design. We begin with an initial consultation to get to know each other and share ideas. We will then provide you with a proposal to capture the vision with details on each element. What services do you offer?
We love working on events of all styles and designs, weddings, engagements, baby showers, birthdays, anniversaries, we love being part of the decoration for incredible and happy moments.
How long before my date do I need to begin the planning process?
We have no set timeframe, but recommend contacting us as soon as possible to ensure your desired date is still available.
How much does a bridal bouquet cost?
Every bouquet is different, so there is no base price. If you would like to know specific pricing, please send us a message!
Can I come to your workshop to see your work?
Of course! Depending on the size of your event, and our availability we can schedule a trial for you to see the vision in real life.
How is payment made?
You can make your payments by bank transfer or you can use PayPal. We accept U.S. Dollars and Quetzales.
Can the decoration of the ceremony be used in the reception?
Depending on the ceremony elements and the location of each event, we can potentially utilize some of the elements from the ceremony for the reception for an additional fee.
Disassembly and is it included in the service?
Yes, of course we can include the disassembly service after your event. We will take care of removing all the floral arrangements, this will include an extra charge in the contract.
What is the quote process like with Abeja?
After you complete the wedding form, we can begin the planning process! Once we have reviewed your information we will schedule a meeting via Zoom to get to know you a bit more. After our initial meeting, we will create a quote and moodboard for your special day.

We provide a full floral service, from the bridal bouquet, to the boutonnieres to ceremony and reception blooms- anything your heart desires. Delivery
We provide a fresh flower bouquets and arrangements for delivery within Antigua and Guatemala City. Please see our ‘Shop’ page to place an order. Deliveries are made in Antigua Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. In Guatemala City, deliveries are on Fridays only. Please note that all bouquets are florist choice– no two will ever look the same. Flower & foliage varieties are subject to seasonal availability.
